Playing with Musicality | Advancing-your-Zouk | June Workshop

Advance your musicality skills on the social floor with our Melbourne Brazilian Zouk experts Izzy and Steve!

This 2-hour workshop will deep dive into Brazilian Zouk musical structure, hearing instruments & predicting music changes. Now that you've nailed your basics, learn how to play with Zouk movements, energy and rhythms to match the music. Already an experienced Zouker? Let's make your dancing more creative, expressive and enjoyable for you and your partner!

Requirement: Designed to level up Zoukers with some experience including improvers and also to challenge those advanced dancers (Level 2 to 4+)

3:30pm - Social dancing: Arrive at the end of the Beginner Bootcamp to dance with beginner dancers and explore your current musical and connection skills 4:00pm - Music structure, phrasing and types, and how to explore this with Zouk. 5:00pm - Using energy and expression to explore the connection of music with your dance. 6:00pm finish.
